The finale to Juli Kidman’s two-part story, “The Evil Within: The Consequence”, will release later this month. The game’s official Facebook page has released a screenshot and concept art for the upcoming DLC, featuring an armed Kidman and the following caption:
It appears The Consequence will be more action oriented this time around, unlike the previous DLC which featured a bigger emphasis on stealth, since Juli spent most of her time playing hide-n-seek.
The Evil Within: The Consequence will release on April 21, 2015 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. You can read our reviews of the main game and the first DLC, “The Assignment“.

A lot has gone down since the last episode of RGN Daily News, yes the Patriots won the Super Bowl and a lot of great gaming has been going on here at RGN HQ. We hope you’ve been getting it in as well with whatever genre or platforms you prefer at the moment. Shouts out to everyone who has made this possible, RealGamerNewz.com announced on February 3, 2015 that the website has achieved over 27,000 views in just the first 3 days of the month. This tremendous reaction to our content has not gone un-noticed, and we will continue to work hard until the goals of all readers are met and a standard of quality is achieved for those who follow and lead us to look over to in the industry. Now, onto the gaming news!
Take-Two Confirms Borderlands 3
Xbox One / PS4 Only ???
Just a month after Randy Pitchford confirmed the company was “ready to start” production on a new game in the franchise, Borderlands 3 has been confirmed. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners will get their own custom fitted Borderlands game according to new statements being made by Gearbox Software and Take-Two Interactive today who will also be bringing the originals to the next-gen platforms as well as their DLC packs in a bundle called Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. At this time we don’t know if the third entry in the series will appear or not on PS3 / 360 but so far this game is being touted as, at least according to PR statements, up to spec with what next-generation gamers expect out of a game. We assume that means 60 frames per second and slightly – moderately improved graphics as a minimum standard bar of entry.
New Just Cause 3 Screenshots
Perhaps the most exciting of this week’s announcements are the following glimpses at Just Cause 3 by development studio Avalanche Studios and publisher Square Enix, which PR statements claim won’t have micro-transactions and is designed to be a full experience without DLC required. Many have made that claim, but we’ll keep an open mind until we have reason to suspect otherwise with this. Originally, fans exploded in excitement as the reveal came in that the Just Cause franchise would make a return.
The vertical gameplay of the title has been expanded making an already large map seemingly even bigger, and new graphics face-lifts made possible by next-generation technology have been made to the game’s appearance. Now we have a bit more visual evidence to these teasers and claims. So far, things are looking great.
Excerpt from Official Press Release:
“it has been confirmed that the game will be set on a fictional Mediterranean island known as Medici with Rico Rodriguez set as the protagonist against the brutal control of dictator General Di Ravello”
Players can get their hands on Just Cause 3 some time this year on Windows PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4:
How Much Space Does Witcher 3 Take on PS4 ???
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt from the rigorously sturdy and virtuous video games development / publishing house CD Projekt RED with help from various publishing partners (including self-publishing as well as Warner Bros. distribution in North America on consoles) has been given a file size. On the Xbox One the file size is still unknown at this time, however, the PlayStation 4 version of the game will require a minimum of 50 Gigabytes to be downloaded and installed in full as confirmed by the PlayStation Store listing of the digital distribution version of the game. This game is set to be over 100 hours long, and is highly anticipated. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC worldwide May 19, 2015 and is available for pre-order.

SOE Sold Off By Sony
A lot of friends have asked for my opinions on this, so here we go. Sony Online Entertainment was a fantastic company that always tried to bring their true visions to life. That being said, no one knows why things never quite struck the right cord. Myself, I’ve had numerous run-ins with SOE that were both great and not-so-great.
I have a huge amount of respect for the designers at the company who always tried new ideas and really put their heart into attempting to make each game that SOE released great and worthwhile for real gamers and hardcore fans alike. As many websites have probably said by now, we can only hope for the best as the company continues to live on in a new form. We surely want to see the potential of these designers reach its full form regardless of what that says about how poorly Sony may have done managing this team.
SOE has been sold to independence by Sony and Sony Online Entertainment is no more. The company has now been renamed to Daybreak Games Company and has also been purchased by a primary investor making it a privately held entity belonging to video games development / publishing company Columbus Nova – and now free of restraints from being associated directly with Sony.
So many questions remain as to what this will mean for the future. What’s going to happen with H1Z1? Is this all because of what happened with H1Z1 thus far, or was it already long in the works before that? What will Daybreak Games make next, a MOBA game like SMITE? They’ve said they would like to go multi-platform now that they can, and this means also working on Xbox One games. Could it be possible that Microsoft will finally start to allow decent MMO games to release on their console platforms? Or maybe Daybreak Games will make something totally different and new specifically geared towards the Xbox crowd, something that this development studio isn’t typically known for – just because they now have the freedom to do so. We don’t know the answers to these questions, but wish Daybreak Games well in whatever they decide to produce – we look forward to trying it out for ourselves when the appropriate time comes.
New Gameplay: Naruto SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 4
So we came across some really low-quality, grainy footage of Naruto SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 4 and figured Bandai Namco must be streaming the game again. Luckily, this Official Gameplay Footage of an Early Development Build was released by Bandai Namco Games to save us from the second-hand footage that you would have been seeing instead had they not dropped the bomb on us. For fans of official Naruto work, this is the latest so sink your teeth in.

October 7th, 2014 TENKAI KNIGHTS: Brave Battle launches in North America exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS and if you splurge for the Limited Edition bundle announced today by Bandai Namco Games you’ll get the red metallic Bravenwolf mini-figure along with the game. This Limited Edition is only available at Target though, hence the red theme. Check out the mock up art of Bravenwolf below which was also released today.
It was noted that although this is a 3DS game (and those traditionally aren’t heavily online-enabled) TENKAI KNIGHTS: Brave Battle will feature certain co-op moments that enable players to come together for action in this 2D hack n slash title. An army of shapeshifting robots are hellbent on destroying not just one, but two worlds, and thus players must enlist themselves to fight the good fight – or in this case the Brave Battle.
Bandai Namco Games also launched new trailer and screenshots for the upcoming 3DS game as seen below.

This week there has been a rumor turned reality of a new Battlefield game in the works code named “Omaha” also known by its new official name, Battlefield Hardline.
In celebration of this official confirmation, EA Games has decided to give away Battlefield 3: Standard Edition for PC free for all Origin members (hurry up) through their ‘On The House’ sale. This title is being developed by Visceral Games, the developer behind the amazing horror series Dead Space. Battlefield Hardline is going to be releasing in Fall 2014. The game will have an all new genre of the war on crime and the battle that wages on between criminals and the police.
Battlefield Hardline has had some footage and info leaked, such as: the classes which are The Mechanic, Enforcer, Operator, and the Professional. Also a new multiplayer map Downtown and the modes included are Bomb Squad, Carrier Assault, and Blood Money. I’m guessing that since a beta has also been announced that this will be the main map and these might be the games modes that will be available to play during that Beta. It looks like the Battlefield franchise will now be running on a rotating developer cycle like Call of Duty where Visceral will be on one year and DICE will be on the other year (for the anticipated Battlefield 5), and they will both have completely different experiences offered to the gamer. There is one difference here though, in that DICE will still be handling the multiplayer portion of the game while Visceral Games takes care of Single Player.
Heist, Rescue, Hotwire and Bloodmoney multiplayer modes are seen in the following video which was leaked ahead of the official announcement.
With this news of Battlefield: Hardline I believe that EA Games is trying to give a new experience, reminiscent of cops and robbers from when we were kids, but remain within the Battlefield universe since they already have a fan-base there. In a lot of ways, what has been seen so far for the game reveals a very thorough and detailed side-universe that takes place in Omaha with a Grand Theft Auto type of feel to it. There’s drugs, dirty cops, emotional scenes, and ties to the underworld from real life found everywhere in this game – along with your occasional cliche’ Hollywood film lines, being placed sarcastically to poke fun at Visceral Games (for example: “That’s xxx million dollars worth of drugs,” a character says to which another character replies, “What are you the drug Rain Man? Let’s go.”)
Battlefield Hardline will be releasing for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, Microsoft’s Xbox One, and last-generation machines Sony PS3 and Xbox 360 and will also have support for Battlefield Premium which means there will be a good load of DLC that will follow after its release available to members of the paid subscription service originally offered for the BF games from DICE. After confirming this rumor to be true, EA Games also decided to update the world with information including when to expect a formal announcement. BF: Hardline will be in attendance at E3 2014 the industry trade event being covered on RGN this June (Stay Tuned for what has been called “The Super Bowl of Video Games”!)

Bethesda has announced that The Evil Within has been delayed. Originally scheduled for an August 2014 release, the game will now launch on October 21st in North America, October 23 in Australia and New Zealand followed by October 24 in European territories. The reason for the two month delay is supposedly so that developer Tango Gameworks can have more time to further polish and refine the game.
The Evil Within is an upcoming Horror game from designer Shinji Mikami, the famed creator of the Resident Evil video games series, and is being published by Bethesda. Many may remember the original reveal that happened, for those who don’t – check it out on RGNTV2. The game was immediately praised for its potential to bring back the Survival Horror feel from the days of the genre’s inception, largely due to Shinji Mikami’s presence on the team behind the game. The Evil Within stars Sebastian Castellanos.
Leading up to the first official announcement, Bethesda launched a viral ad campaign using short snippets through newly popular web service Vine. For a while, nobody knew what these meant, and it caused a great deal of fascination as well as (to Bethesda’s frustration somewhat) Fallout 4 rumors. For some reason that seemed to upset the major video game publisher who has been trying to get the public’s attention off of Fallout and onto Elder Scrolls ever since – to varying degrees of success.
Tango Gameworks are the crew developing The Evil Within which releases for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this October (as mentioned above). This title will also be released on computer and the last-gen game platforms Sony PS3 and Xbox 360. Working off of an id Tech 5 engine (with some custom tweaking), Tango Gameworks has been a part of Bethesda since their parent company Zenimax Media acquired them back in late 2010. Team members include solid major industry veterans who come from such companies as Platinum Games, Capcom, Suda 51’s crew (Grasshopper Manufacture) to name a few.
This week Bethesda and Tango Gameworks have released the following set of new screenshots for The Evil Within as well as a 1080P HD “Reactions” Trailer.
Title: The Evil Within
Director: Shinji Mikami
Genre(s): Survival horror
Platform(s): PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One
Publisher(s): Bethesda Softworks
Developer(s): Tango Gameworks
Release Date (NA): October 2014
The following collection of Screenshots and Concept Art below were released for the game and include a depiction of the Fighting Chance Pack that grants players, well what else? A fighting chance against the crazed undead seen in these images. Previously, there were also a bunch of leaked screenshots and gameplay clips but those have been mostly removed as Bethesda and Tango Gameworks urge gamers to hold off a little bit longer so that the final build version of the game can be shown rather than those of lower quality which were leaked ahead of schedule. Stay tuned to RealGamerNewz for more info on this and other PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC games.
