Ah, you all know Killzone 3. This game has it all and was one of the best PS3 games I’ve played since God of War 3. The graphics were amazing and enjoyable to watch during cut scenes. The story and multiplayer were pretty badass as well. It’s fun pulling off kills with a jetpack and kind of reminded me of Halo: Reach, but with a little more control over the jetpack. The guns were really amazing as well with many weapons to kill with.

Fatality lives in the newest Mortal Kombat. Badass moves and great finish moves with fun combat that keeps me coming back. The multiplayer is great fun or just sitting on the couch with your buddy right next to you and when you beat him he rages by throwing the controller.

18#

Halo Combat Evolved came back this year and the 3D campaign option blew my mind it was amazing.  Despite the fact the multiplayer is just a Reach DLC this game is nearly to the point of where it was 10 years in its ultimate badassness.

17#

This games fun multiplayer and interactive story made it such a fun party to hop on with at my buddys. I liked the friendly servers on the game as well. It may be a kid game but its still pretty badass.

16#

This RPG fit the star wars genre very with fun gameplay and many choices.  The story was one of the best Bioware has ever told. I hope in the future we see even better.

15#

Probaly was one of the most wanted games of 2011 I liked it a whole lot but honestly didnt know what this game was. But when I got it I just had to go back and play Origins thats how good this was. Great story, great gameplay it kept me coming back for a while.

14#

This Fallout type game is even better than Fallout! The multiplayer vehicle play kicks some serious ass. The co op multiplayer is pretty awesome as well. But the campaign is what takes center stage and reall I mean really is awesome pick this game up.

13#

The sequel to a truly awesome is even better than before. With tons of people playing on the multiplayer who needs to play offline challnge your friends or randoms thats what I do. The graphics are amazing and I just love this game.

12#

Once you start this games singleplayer your mind is blown away by the awesome graphics. With pretty core gameplay it makes you know why theres multiplayer which is very fun but the singleplayer is the main reason to buy this game.

11#

This game made me get my Wii out since I like Zelda. It wasnt as good as the Ocarina of time but defiantly up in the best games of all time. The graphics be cartoon like but it doesn’t take away from how awesome this game is.

10#

This space horror didnt scare me shitless like the first one did….but it made me fell like I had a fighting chance more so against these monsters. The multiplayer personally was good despite it could be way better but it just added to the awesomeness of this game.

9#

Steping into the shoes of Ezio again makes anybody with half a brain fell good. With even more badass moves from slicing to jumping back to aerial assaults this game makes you fell awesome. The multiplayer really made a giant step up this time around as it nearly fells complete and the servers are accutaly good.

8#

This crime thriller was yet agian a succes by Rockstar games. Despite it lacks multiplayer its singleplayer is among the best in Rockstar history up there with GTA 4 and Read Dead Redemption. The gameplay fells like a Rockstar game which makes it fell more similar and awesome like.

7#

Now this game will help me wait for Grand Theft Auto 5. This may just be the most unrealistic game of all time…..but who cares!!!! Its one of the funnest games ever made and the story is very good no matter what choices you make.

6#

This handheld 3D game is one of the best Mario games to date. It fells like some of the old Mario stuff which makes it the best game for Nintendos handheld yet. With fun gameplay using alot of Marios new gadgets id say youd have to play it quite often.

5#

Epics final Gears game is well EPIC. With The Unreal engine at its hand Gears played nicely and looked beatiful for a destroyed world and all. Campaign was amazing very good writing and the multiplayer and co op modes make this the ultimate Gears of War 3 package it could ever be.

4#

If you play this game in 3D you might die. Crysis was just amazing the graphics are by far the best of 2011 in HD or 3D. The story mode takes you on a unforgettable journey. The multiplayer is just amazing with all the differnt upgrades and weapons to choose from and well made maps.

3#

Valve did it again expect using the word of Portals which everyone knows and loves. This game will probaly set the future for Valve games using servers that are good for awesome co op and making one of the best single players of 2011 Portal 2 is just downright awesome.

2#

Batmans best performance yet well besides The Dark Knight of course. Batmans combos get some help from Catwoman in this awesome game that makes gamers want such a great game. The story was just…I cant use words to describe it…it was amazing defiantly worth picking up.

For the game of the year it goes to Skyrim. Just about the best game I have ever played its in my top 5 of all time after I played it. RPG elements are at its core in this game as it has the best customization system ever in an RPG to date and it fells like this game just takes your breath away.

Well Real Gamerz thats my top 20 let me know what you think about it in the comments below till next time peace.

Nintendo reports first ever annual loss for FY2012, 3DS sells 17.13 million to date

According to analysis by VG247 on GameKicker Nintendo’s official financial report is a record of their first annual loss occurring during the year 2012. The official sales of the 3DS to date are also in for debating. See the full info below:

“Nintendo has reports its first ever annual loss at a net loss of ¥43.2 billion, a lower than expected figure compared to what was previously predicted.

Total sales of Nintendo 3DS during FY2012 were 13.53 million, with software at 36 million. LTD, 3DS sales are now at 17.13 million, with software at 45.4 million units.

The vanilla DS line – DS, DS Lite, DSi and DSi XL – sold 5.1 million hardware units and 60.82 million software units. In its lifespan, the line has sold 151.52 million units combined and 900.31 million units in software.

It follows a massive price-cut for the system last August that was put in place to boost flagging sales of the handheld.

Its predicted hardware sales of 18.5 million and 73 million software for 3DS in the next 12 months.

Following up on those, Nintendo has big releases planned for the year ahead, including New Super Mario Bros 2 for 3DS in August, Animal Crossing for 3DS this fall, Brain Age 3DS this summer in Japan

Are Graphics Really Important?

We all know that eye candy is a good thing but, is it all that matters? When examining past systems like the first Playstation, it was all about gameplay. I can remember playing Crash Bandicoot without a care in the world. Sure, the graphics were impressive at the time – but the gameplay was far more superior than some games to date.

As Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 reach their prime it is evident that this generation has been pushed to its max. Will the next generation be the answer?

There are many games coming out today that are broken because developers focus on graphics as a first priority. The line between graphics and good gameplay must be blurred in order to ensure playability that lasts for years to come.

What are your thoughts on this? What games do you remember from the past that had superior gameplay to many of today’s. Comment below.

Tristan’s Twisted World: GoldenEye 007: Reloaded Micro Review

[Welcome to Tristan’s Twisted World by Tristan Werbe for RealGamerNewz.com, check out my Micro Review for GoldenEye 007: Reloaded.]

One of the best games of the 90s for Nintendo 64 is now coming to Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii but can the PS3 and Xbox versions live up to how it plays on the Wii and even the 3ds?

Xbox 360 and PS3 Multiplayer: To my surprise it was a very well balanced game with decent servers on the Xbox 360 and PS3. It feels like a standard shooter online, but with more features than your average gun game in some aspects. It almost looks like you’re playing COD but feels like your playing Medal of Honor. There is a a good variety of maps to play on with friends or complete strangers. Players that lived on gaming back in the Nintendo 64’s hay days will love the multiplayer but anyone who is used to a more mainstream multiplayer game like COD might skip over it.

Wii Multiplayer: As we all know GoldenEye 007 came out last year for Wii and was burned and crashed into the ground for being a Wii exclusive. The multiplayer servers were crap and matches dropped like crazy. As I remember I never finished a match – that’s how bad it was. But now with Reloaded, it actually feels greater on the Wii than the other platforms. The Wii seems to bring the best out of GoldenEye 007: Reloaded when playing with a classic controller and hitting some buddies up. Going retro with 4 player split screen is very fun still offline and online. The servers are improved on the Wii as this game may bring the Wii out of the dark ages for FPS and their archaic online play seen in most other Wii titles.

DS version: Most handhelds can’t seem to bring greatness from good games. It pains me to say this is the same case for such a well improved game as GoldenEye 007: Reloaded. Not even in 3D could get it up to greatness. The graphics on this version are terrible, the story is messed up, overall it’s really just a half done job.

James Bond: Daniel Craig, the current James Bond, is 007 in GoldenEye. His voice acting is wonderful in this game, better than in Quantum of Solace, and that was probably the best 007 game of this generation – until now.

Soundtrack: The classic music is now mixed in with some great new tones that fit in when needed. Other than that you should know what to expect.

Graphics 360/PS3: Very well made as it looks like the very improved version of the last game for Wii big time. On the other two consoles it is brought mainly to have better lighting and textures.

Graphics Wii: The best looking Wii game ever made besides Skyward Sword and definitely the best FPS to ever be on Wii as it feels better than the 360 and PS3 versions of GoldenEye 007: Reloaded. It feels very dramatic in the new first person moments that weren’t in the last one and are new to the 007 series.

Campaign: If you know the story to GoldenEye you already know what happens but it is a very updated version and I enjoyed the story more than anything in this game. Some of the moments seem to improve over the original for the Nintendo 64. It’s an intense, awesome, and at times breathtaking campaign.

DS review: The DS version just was plain out terrible. I give it a 3.5 out of 10 – do not buy unless you are a hardcore 007 fan or just buying a cheap game for your kid’s DS.

Xbox 360/PS3 review: A great shooter on both systems – buy if you like COD, Homefront, and 007 for these systems. I give it an 8 out of 10.

Wii: The star version of the game is, to much surprise, the Wii version and it gets an 8.5 out of 10 in Tristan’s Twisted World.

You Know You Were Thinking It!

This is a new section I will be doing to expose those hidden thoughts that are in the back of every gamer’s mind. You know you were thinking it!

1. Why does Princess Peach always need to be rescued? After all, the moves she has in various Mario games shows she’s capable of defending herself!

2. Was I the only person to think that Link was actually named Zelda? Talk about confused.

3. Will Sonic The Hedgehog ever die? It’s like the Energizer battery he keeps going and going.

4. Where is Shenmue 3?

5. How Many Mushrooms Can One Man Eat? aka Mario?

6. Did Dom from Gears of War go to Heaven or Hell?

7. Killer Instinct reboot? I hope and pray.

8.How many cakes can a Fat Princess eat?

9. Did MW3 steal all the Zombie’s glory? Uh oh, Zombie Revenge is imminent, or is it just DLC? Just kidding.

10. Finally, wouldn’t it be cool if Cat Women and Ryu from Ninja Gaiden shared a game together? Claws and Heads would be flying. Priceless.

Graphics: 3DS vs PSP2 (NGP) Video

When the Next-Generation approaches there are a few things we cannot enter without. First, is money of course. Next is a great lineup of games. And thirdly, is an awareness of the quality of each system heading our way. For my gaming brothers who may not be so lucky as to afford multiple Next-Gen handhelds, I present to you the 3DS vs PSP2 Graphics Comparison Video.

Take a close look at this video and watch it as many times as you need then make your own conclusion! Shout out to Hitman for creating this video right here in Boston. Thanks. *Disclaimer: All footage used under fair use license and is copyright of its respective owner*
