Crystal Rift is a VR Gaming title for Windows PC, Mac OS X, and Linux currently being developed as a first person dungeon crawler being made available for the Oculus Rift virtual reality device coming soon to consumers (and currently in the hands of developers both indie and major worldwide). More information is expected to release soon from Facebook / Oculus about their future vision, but all things appear to be running smoothly for both this device in the PC Gaming world as well as the PlayStation Morpheus for Sony PS4. In this particular video, an indie developer is speaking about his vision for Crystal Rift, a game that’s showing some potential but doesn’t have a clear roadmap just yet. Take a look and see it for yourself. For now, we will simply say that potential exists.
While one PR headset hits its peak moment of crucial liquidity in momentum and purpose (Oculus Rift / FB) another emerges from myth and rumor to our prototype hands-on leaked info, and now a GDC 2014 Reveal (Sony PS4 Morpheus). Now, thanks to a successful Kickstarter program and some great viral marketing, another Virtual Reality venture has been brought to the industry by sheer demand for such technology in the gaming space. PrioVR has been successfully ‘Kickstarted’ with $322,103 of funding after only asking for $75,000 but taking the Internet by storm with their campaign to bring Virtual Reality to gamers worldwide. Take a look at some of the notable features we are particularly excited for below as well as the Official Kickstarter Pitch Video that brought this new device from a fantasy to a tangible production in progress.
Some of PrioVR’s Noteworthy Features:
- Custom Hand Controllers: Control the game with your body, this VR headset isn’t just for your eyes.
- Multiplayer Games: The team behind the device provided Demos of games using PrioVR, those will now be turned into MP games.
- 3 Price Tiers To Choose From: 8, 12, or 17 sensors depending on which price point you choose to enter at.
- +100 Troll Points: For offering to buy out Oculus / FB if the Stretch Goal of $2,000,000,001.00 was achieved.

PrioVR Technology (Coming Soon):
A Facebook spokesperson had denied claims that the Oculus Rift will undergo rebranding, which would have placed the Facebook logo on the device. Based on people’s reactions to the whole deal between Oculus and Facebook, perhaps the dissatisfaction of the possibility of changing it convinced them to modify their plans and leave the logo as is.
However, there are of course those who think this merger is a wonderful idea and will really help virtual reality technology. Chief among them at the moment is VR expert Michael Abrash. He has parted from Valve and gone to Oculus to devote his time and extensive knowledge of virtual reality concepts and designs to the hopes of helping Oculus reach it’s full potential.
There is a new game in development for the Oculus Rift called Wicked Paradise. Many of you may be left wondering, what is the Oculus Rift? The Oculus Rift is a head-mounted device that allows players to play immerse, and more realistic games. Wicked Paradise is a game being developed for the Oculus Rift and allows you to seduce, then have sex with a girl. Later versions will allow you to play as a girl and have sex with a man. There are not many details of this game at this time as it is early in development, but we can expect more to come. Wicked Paradise will launch for the Oculus Rift along with the Oculus Rift itself in 2014.
