Life Goes On is a funny yet morbid indie 2D platformer currently under works by Canadian developer Infinite Monkeys Entertainment. The player controls uniquely named knights and guides them to their death to solve puzzles with the goal of reaching a golden cup of life. The game is set to release on April 16th on Steam for $12.99 and will be available for Windows, Linux, and Mac.
Although the game is still in beta, RGN was fortunate enough to get a hands on preview of the first 15 levels of the game and it is awesome! The music, gameplay, and level design are all top notch. Dying in the levels is super easy (which is a good thing!) and the level design in excellent yet challenging. Each level contains a combination of spikes, levers, cannons, ice cubes, and spawn points that are designed to kill the character and/or help complete the level.
Interesting character names add to the fun, including names like “The Wonderful Brother David Hendrix the Eighth” or “The Brave Master Kelly the Elder”. We won’t spoil the rest, but to keep things in suspense, let’s just say good luck on finding and feeding Jeff!
Look for the full game on Steam the middle of next month. In the meantime, keep your eyes on RGN for updates to this and other exciting indie games!
