The rumors continue for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, which was just officially announced yesterday because of the many leaks and rumors being released for the game. Now, the latest rumors are here in the form of a release date.
The image above was taken from a page (which has now been taken down) that was offering users the chance to watch the world premiere trailer of the game, with text following that stated, “also coming to next-gen consoles October 29th.” If this site speaks the truth, it would appear that Assassin’s Creed IV will indeed be released on October 29th of this year, and will appear on next-gen as well as the current gen consoles.
This date could simply be a placeholder, however, Ubisoft has stated before that the Assassin’s Creed franchise is now an annualized franchise. Since Assassin’s Creed III was released at the end of October last year, it would not be risky to assume that this will indeed be when Assassin’s Creed IV will be released.
Ubisoft has confirmed that a full reveal for Assassin’s Creed IV:Black Flag will be made on Monday, March 4th. Until than, all we can do is speculate on whether this new information is indeed true.
