Doom Update 6.66

Recently Bethesda put out update for Doom which came out just over a year ago. The update to the game has dropped the season pass, so now users get all the multiplayer content. In the three multiplayer packs that are now included have, nine awesome maps, three new guns, new equipment, armor sets, as well as three additional playable demons. This is really huge that Bethesda has done this and hope more companies continue to ditch the season passes in the future. One of the big changes coming to in game multiplayer is the new progression system for unlocking: guns, equipment, and demons has changed to a specific leveling system. So before the system for unlocking all this was completely random and now it will be easier to work for the customization items in game that the user wants. If you have been playing the game since launch and already have these items don’t worry you can keep these items and still use the new progression system, or reset all your items. Veteran players will be receiving a special badge to recognize their previous in game experience, and if your one of the elite users that have achieved max Slayer level you will receive a special Slayer badge.

Before in multiplayer the developer had a hack module system and that is gone with the new update and being replaced by the new Runes system. The nice thing with the Rune system is the ability to be like perks so don’t have to be activated and don’t expire, so the user can add runes as part of the player loadout. Bethesda has also made other multiplayer changes and these can be seen in the new update.

To celebrate all the new changes to Doom the developer is having a free weekend for the game starting at 11:00 AM Central Time on Thursday July 20th and going till 11:00 PM Sunday July 23rd this is on Xbox One. For users on PS4 it starts at 11:00 AM Central Time on Thursday July 27th and goes till 11:00 PM on Sunday July 30th. For users on Steam the event starts at 12:00 PM Central Time on Thursday July 20th and goes through 3:00 PM Central Time on Sunday July 23rd. During this free game time users will be able to play through the first two campaign levels as well as take in multiplayer and SnapMap. If your on the edge still the game will be on sale during the free weekend for $14.99 and that is a great deal for an amazing campaign as well as a newly updated multiplayer with new maps, guns, demons and more. This also includes the amazing SnapMap where users can create and download all kinds of new game modes as well as new ways to enjoy defeating demons. DOOM_6.66_Update_730x411

Surprise Horror Game ‘Knock Knock’ is REAL LIFE CreepyPasta + Now Available on Steam [1080P HD Teaser Trailer]

Knock Knock Steam Game

Knock Knock is an eerie title that has arrived on Steam today for Mac OS X, Linux, and of course Windows PC which was allegedly developed based on a string of mysterious messages that were intercepted by Ice-Pick Lodge who just might be living out a real life version of CreepyPasta (the phenomenon we dare not explain, but Google it if you don’t already have enough demons in your life 😉 ). In the following Full 1080P High Definition Teaser Trailer we are presented with the first peak at what the end result of this spiritually dangerous game development experience has become. Scroll below the video for a look into the lore and concepts behind the title which is now available for 15% off until October 11th after successfully being green-lit by the Steam community.

Excerpt from today’s Official Press Release by Ice Pick Lodge:

“Game Concept

A wooden house stands in the forest. A single man lives there.

The house receives visits from unusual guests that knock on the window inviting this strange hermit to join them in a game of hide-and-seek. To win, simply remain alive and maintain your sanity until sunrise. Approaching the Visitors head-on is a dangerous idea.

As soon as the first Visitor emerges from the forest, the countdown begins. Every passing hour brings them closer to the house, and the house’s walls offer no sanctuary. Something is already inside. Something is opening the window and banging around in the kitchen. Something controls the cellar and attic. Floorboards creak softly deep in the bowels of the house.

Knock Knock Ice Pick Lodge

The Visitors are well aware of your position, so you must make your rounds of the house and find the breaches that let the creatures inside while doing your best to mend them.

You may come across some useful items that might help your survival, but those items are always random and your inventory is limited to 5 slots, so your gear changes by night.

Survive until sunrise and the monsters disappear, but if they get you before the sun peeks over the horizon, well, just the idea is terrifying.”

Memoria Review

Memoria RealGamerNewz Review

Memoria is a point-and-click adventure game developed by Daedalic Entertainment that is set in a world where magic is everywhere, but it’s not always socially accepted. The main character of this game is a man who seeks to return the love of his life back to her original fairy / humanoid state. Trapped in the body of a bird, a Raven to be exact, Nuri is the inspiration behind everything you’ll do while playing as Geron. Gameplay scenes which flashback to an ancient time also tell a deeper context to the story which become immediately relevant as cascading events take place and see Geron getting in over his head as he tails the man he believes to be his only hope at returning Nuri to her original form.

During the ancient flashbacks you’ll play as Sadja, a mysterious princess hellbent on obtaining a sacred item in order to secure her place in history through the glory of winning wars. It is said that whoever holds this item will be able to undue any loss in battle, but its power seems to be far more complex than that. You will gain spells in very intriguing ways. Each magical character you encounter is on the borderline between demonic presence and mystical spirit guide.

It’s easy to get very stuck in this game, and it can make one want to just give up. Players will often spend hours and hours trying to figure out what to do next only to find out that it was something simple they overlooked. Being that this is a point and click adventure however, that is definitely meant to be part of the fun here. With use of creativity, critical thinking, scroll of the mouse wheel for fast changing the selected item / action to perform, and if necessary Combination Hint (lights up the item on the cursor when two items can be used together) the impossible eventually becomes easy.

Memoria RealGamerNewz Review 2

Gameplay: The gameplay in Memoria is mostly what you’d expect from a point-and-click adventure but does have a few surprises here and there. The magic spells in the game will give it a bit more excitement than some point-and-click games but also the challenge of the puzzles are something beyond what I’ve experienced before in the genre. Gamers of all types will be drawn to this game by the story, but will stay for the increasingly rewarding feeling that is felt after discovering the way forward.

Characters / Enemies: Each character and enemy in this game is well storied. You’ll really get a sense of who everyone is and this allows complex emotional attachments to become built to everyone in the game. Beyond that, the characters are all believable in the world that Memoria takes place in. Even the enemies have their point of view presented in a way that gives the player a great understanding. As they say, there’s two sides to every coin. Memoria shows you both sides of the struggle between good and evil and turns the duality of the concept on its head.

Graphics / Art Direction: The art direction and graphics in Memoria are simply incredible. This game is beautiful. Whether in a dark and demonic cave or outside in the fresh air, players can really enjoy the visuals that are presented. The mix of 2D and pseudo-3D provokes an even more realistic experience that will immerse the player in Memoria. Daedalic Entertainment has done a great job at making this game look  breathtaking and you don’t need a powerful computer to appreciate what they’ve done here.

Soundtrack, Audio, Voice: The English version of the voice acting is done very well here. Sound effects and music are crisp and high quality. Players won’t be distracted by any low-quality audio moments, the aura of the game is maintained and stays true throughout so that the sounds in Memoria end up blending into the overall experience and helping to give it a truly unique identity.

Engine Performance: In our play-through the game engine that Memoria uses was smooth and had no glitches to speak of. We were pretty impressed by the overall quality of the game and the engine surely played a large part in this.

Replay Ability: Medium

Final Verdict: All in all, there’s nothing bad to say about Memoria. Some players may get stuck at times trying to figure out what to do next, but there’s a decent amount of clues laying around so that eventually the way is always found. The reward of solving the increasingly difficult puzzles is half of the fun really. Not every gamer is going to enjoy the point-and-click adventure genre, but if players are unsure and find themselves wanting to try this game out, Memoria could very well be the one that gives birth to their love for this genre. Memoria receives a perfect 10 out of 10 score from RealGamerNewz making it one of our few RGN Platinum Rated Games and we highly recommend it to everyone. This experience will mystify and enchant you and should not be skipped for any reason.
