New England Patriots Win Super Bowl Madden 15 EA Sports RealGamerNewz Boston

Patriots Win The Super Bowl

– Madden 15 by EA Games Makes Bold Prediction:

Electronic Arts in association with EA Sports released a new statement today to the press saying that the New England Patriots have won the Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks in a video game simulation traditionally done by EA Sports as a sort of litmus test for the game engine’s accuracy to real sporting variables. Only time will tell if this rings true in real life.

Here’s an excerpt from the Official Press Release with more information:

“The prediction sees New England’s offense overcoming the Seahawks’ defense to pull out a 28-24 victory. Tom Brady was named MVP of the game thanks to his 335 yard, 4-touchdown performance, his third such honor.

The Madden NFL 15 Super Bowl Prediction is created by simulating the Super Bowl Matchup with updated rosters on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft and the official game console of the NFL. Fans can get more exclusive EA SPORTS content from Super Bowl week by following Madden NFLon Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat (easports) and using the hashtag #UltimateSB.”

Vita TV PlayStation TV RealGamerNewz Discount Sale

PlayStation TV (AKA Vita TV) Discounted to $60

The PlayStation TV, PSTV, VitaTV, or whatever you want to call Sony’s micro-console / streaming device capable of providing PS Now, PS One Classic, PS Vita, and in-home streamed PS4 content (console required), all under the guise of also being another “Netflix machine” for consumers to gobble up has now gone on discount. Best Buy offered the sale first, both online and in-store for a device that debuted at $99 and steeply fell to $79 during the holiday season.

Now we see the device dropped to just $59 to which users have responded by spreading the news. It remains to be seen how many will actually buy though. Amazon has matched this price, now listing the PlayStation TV for $59.99 as well. The bundle which comes with a controller is now available for $99.00 even.

As Sony struggles to generate interest in the Vita library, many own Vita handhelds and are extremely pleased with their gaming experiences on the device. PSTV getting into more homes is a good sign that if Sony would have offered a more desirable price from the jump, such as Nintendo is attempting to do with the Nintendo New 3DS XL, then more people would have bit. We can probably expect to see a Vita price drop soon after this recent happening comes to pass.

Virtual Reality Gaming PC Architecture SLI GPU Geforce 980

Virtual Reality Gaming PC Architecture is Here

SLI 3.0 is coming out and it’s called VR SLI because it’s for VR Gear such as Oculus Rift. Instead of using multiple GPUs to render a single image, each graphics card renders for a separate eye. Beyond that, if the user has a Quad VR SLI set up then a sick immerse experience is guaranteed.

The GeForce GTX 980 and GeForce GTX 970 themselves even already  include revolutionary new technologies that make Maxwell GPUs the best choice for smooth, responsive, nausea-free Virtual Reality Gaming Experiences according to NVIDA.

Grand Theft Auto V Strategy Guide Review

Grand Theft Auto V - RealGamerNewz - PS4 X1

If you need to find the most detailed and complete guide to GTA V, then look no further. The team over at BradyGames has put together a fantastic signature series strategy guide to any GTA V knowledge you may be searching for, all in one great looking package. From the minute I first saw this guide it just screamed collectible with just under 500 highly detailed full color pictures made from tear resistant pages front to back to ensure long lasting use while keeping it looking fresh. I knew this guide would be a serious commodity to the story mode section of the game but it also completely covers the entire online mode as well all platforms in this one book. The table of contents is set on two open pages with only eight categories so you can see everything the without having to flip over a page.

Every single stat from each character’s details to weapons, vehicles, and everything you can think of is broken down to help you make those educated purchases without having to interrupt any of your time in game. I especially enjoy the map sections that have been fitted perfectly to the pages with high resolution making it super easy see and navigate all areas without having to stop traveling to change screens.

After using this guide for awhile I would say it is definitely worth picking up, whether you have been playing GTA V for awhile and want to find something you have been looking for a long time, or your just starting out and need help getting around and understanding the game and characters functions. Two thumbs up for BradyGames for putting out a quality product that will remain useful and more importantly useful! So go get your own, because this one’s mine. There’s still time before Christmas if you know anyone who is playing GTA V on any console they would definitely appreciate this signature series strategy guide. At $24.99 it is a bargain.

Main Story Missions: A complete walk-through of the game, you won’t miss anything and following these pages while playing through the story mode will ensure that you get the most efficient progress towards unlocking all achievements. Each contract is broken down into extreme detail with step by step, maps, side notes, and even easter egg nuggets of information. It is also shown how much progress towards a platinum trophy is gained per mission.

Vehicle Showroom: GTA V has tons of vehicles, and with even more expanded for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One it’s impressive to see them all in one place. Top Speed, Braking, Acceleration, and Traction are broken down for each vehicle in the game (which is an insane amount of detail for a guide of such quality). It would have been nice to be able to see the Armor / Health attribute of each vehicle, but we’re not sure entirely how that works and why it was omitted. There could be development reasons, it’s hard to say exactly. Some vehicles have an extra mode such as the ability to get Turbo or Custom Exhaust systems. It’s nice to be able to rapidly thumb through and have those abilities highlighted on these pages. This saves an incredible amount of time car hunting for the right vehicle that can do it all. Now you just find it in the guide, then get it in the game.

Stranger and Freaks, Random Events, Hobbies and Pastimes: This section includes everything you can do outside of the normal story missions for Grand Theft Auto V including Arms Trafficking Air, Arms Trafficking Ground, Assassination Missions, Bail Bonds, Parachuting, Endless Summer: Taxi Missions, and that’s not even half of them. Custom maps for particular moments in the game when players are looking for Triathlons, Races of all kinds, or just exact weaponry.

This guide has everything you need, even an in-depth look at GTA Online, now if we can just get Heists released that would be great!

Bank Jobs That Won’t Land You In Jail – Rockstar Games Reveals Grand Theft Auto Online: Heists

GTA Online Heists Logo

Rockstar is finally bringing its long rumored  “Heists Mode” to Grand Theft Auto Online  to GTA V earlier next year. In a press release on RockstarGames.com the mode will come to all of the currently available versions of the games as well as the yet to be released PC version. The Heist will require players to work closely together with others gamers online or their GTA Online crew to set up and pull off heist and earn crazy amounts of cash just like in the single player campaign. There is no release date yet for the Heists mode but since it will also roll out on the PC we may see it on or shortly after the game’s PC release  on January 27, 2014. Check out our reviews for the PS3 and PS4 Reviews of Grand Theft Auto V and check back to RGN for all your GTA Related news.

Grand Theft Auto V PlayStation 4 Review

Grand Theft Auto V PlayStation 4 Review - RealGamerNewz

Straight from the first step into Los Santos the textures and graphics are exactly what we’ve all been hoping for, depth visuals. Whether your returning from PS3 or this is your first visit to Los Santo’s, you are in for a treat. The environment looks super smooth with eye-popping details in every object, I dare say Rockstar may have we finally tamed GTA’s beastly new engine and harnessed its power properly on next-gen consoles.

A ton of new features, upgrades, and individual content pieces have been added to the game, the best of which I can say, DRAW DISTANCE has been improved. The worst thing I can say is that fans are tired of waiting for Heists missions to release, and although it’s great they’re being prepped for release now that the next-gen launches of Grand Theft Auto V are out – we were ready for them literally a year ago. Hopefully the build up is worth the wait, I’m surely not envying the pressure Rockstar Games must be feeling on that one.

Exclusive Content for those who have already played Grand Theft Auto V on previous systems is included in the game surprisingly enough. This extends from solving a Murder Mystery eventually leading to an unlockable graphics filter for the game, exclusive weapons including a Hatchet and high power Rail Gun, the Wildlife Photography Challenge, Stock Car Races, and some other stuff we won’t mention because it’s just more fun finding on your own.

GTA V RealGamerNewz PS4 Review

The liquid graphic textures that end up splattered on your car or on the ground appear raised and with proper depth and lighting. The end result is what looks a three dimensional effect. Problem is, the splatter pattern leaves little to be desired. Fluid animations overall though have seen a great upgrade.

In terms of overall graphics, EQAA (Enhanced Quality Anti-Aliasing) and high-quality FXAA (Fast Approximate Anti-Aliasing) has been upgraded according to Rockstar Games’ Reviewer’s Guide handed down to press. Antisotropic filtering has also been implemented in a way that is meant to make far away images look sharper. This definitely works while maintaining a larger draw distance, and nearly zero pop-up that I can find.More specs are listed including Tesselation and displacement mapping as well as Parallax occlusion which can account for some of our earlier observations with gooey substances looking more real.

Rockstar Games also boasts improved physics, particle effects, lighting (over 3x the number of light sources from Xbox 360 / PlayStation 3, among other lighting upgrades), re-modeled textures, re-sculpted objects, volumetric light pollution, and more.

There’s been over 150 songs added to the sound-track, great small touches like High Definition versions of the television shows you can watch in-game at your characters’ mansions such as Republican Space Rangers or Impotent Rage. There’s even new vehicles to check out.

Grand_Theft_Auto_V_PS3_PS4_comparison

Online mode has been increased to 30 players with 2 spectators, a new first person mode has been released revealing all kinds of great easter eggs and hidden goodies in the game. FPS mode also has its own (optional) cover system to duck and lean up against walls, new ways to aim, and controls that feel like a first person shooter not the regular GTA just pasted into first person. This can be customized, so fear not if those words brought little comfort.

GTA Online also comes pre-patched now, with 11 updates already included off the bat. GTA Online on next-gen consoles will usher in a new experience, which is great because the last gen version has succumb to many hackers as of late who enjoy trolling and ruining the experience for others with cheats and / or mods to the game world peer-to-peer servers (since Rockstar doesn’t appear to host any of their own). Hopefully that problem will still be patched on last-gen systems though, and owners won’t be left behind.

Final Verdict:

If you haven’t been a part of the Grand Theft Auto V Experience yet, you don’t know what you’re missing. In this version, Driving stability has been taken to a new level. The overall feel of the game as well as the surroundings are meshed without unsightly lines or glitches even at top speeds. New crash animations have been introduced with subtle slow motion scenes just before impact lasting split seconds so you can bear witness to your self-inflicted carnage. Glass smashing, smoke burrowing, tiny pieces, and particles disintegrate as it all unfolds.

After seeing the difference between the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of Grand Theft Auto V, I really appreciate the work that went into the upgrade details. This game comes with everything that made the first version great, smoother graphics with new textures and objects, and higher quality engine performance. The extra content added will be producing hours of replay value and Heists is still on the way according to Rockstar. All of these things are what makes revisiting Grand Theft Auto V well worth a second purchase.

5 Games That Would be Perfect for Photo Mode

Grand-Theft-Auto-V-Splash-Image1

With Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor joining the list of games on PS4 (The first third party game) with the popular Photo Mode feature, I’ve been thinking about other titles and how cool it would be to have it. Photo Mode isn’t for everyone, but those who enjoy toying around with it will agree that it adds another layer of fun to whatever game they are playing. The really creative players can pull off some really impressive snapshots.

PM7

One of my Shadow of Mordor snapshots

With that being said below is a list of upcoming and recently released games that would be even more fun with an added Photo Mode. I’m referring to the PlayStation 4 versions since the Xbox One doesn’t have the ability (Yet) to take screenshots. Also seeing as there is a high chance that each AAA PS4 exclusives will be including it, I didn’t bother listing Bloodborne and The Order: 1886.

Grand Theft Auto V – November 18, 2014

gta-v-stunning-screen-6

Rockstar’s latest in its ever popular open-world franchise will be making its way onto the current gen consoles next month. The option to capture whatever crazy antics players will get into when roaming the huge city of Los Santos, is too good of an opportunity to pass up. Epic vehicle stunts, insane shootouts, hooker roadkill and whatever other form of carnage you can pull off. Of course you could also take some breathtaking 1080p shots of the city and mountains and share them for the world to see.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity – November 11, 2014

assassin-s-creed-unity-5433a5b759419

Another open-world title, this time set in Paris during the French Revolution. Being able to capture protagonist Arno Dorian as he engages in combat against the Templars, performs stealth kills, shows of his sweet parkour skills while scaling large buildings and even taking that iconic leap of faith would be something fans would get carried away with. Too bad the game won’t feature naval battles.

WWE 2K15 – November 18, 2014

WWE-2K15-2K14-Graphics-Comparison-Randy-Orton-Header

Not an open-world title, but developer Yukes and 2K games upcoming wrestling game would benefit from this feature. Fans of the game series love to share their content with one another; from their created wrestlers to story lines. With Photo Mode players would become even more share crazy, capturing all kinds of insane shots the wrestlers executing their finishing moves, delivering chair shots, performing high flying moves from ladders and more.

EA Sports UFC – June 17, 2014

ea-sports-ufc-15

Another title that involves sweaty shirtless combatants, grappling and punching your opponents in the face. EA Sports UFC has been out for a few months now but it continues to receive support, including new fighters and takedown moves. So why not Photo Mode? Who wouldn’t want to be able to snap a close up picture of Bruce Lee jamming his foot into the face of Jon Bones or Rhonda Rousey dropping her opponent on their head with a suplex? Yeah, thought so.

The Evil Within – October 14, 2014

TEW

The latest survival horror game (Our Review here) from the mind of Shinji Mikami, would be another great candidate for a Photo Mode inclusion. Protagonist Sebastian Castellanos will come face to face with countless enemies in his quest to discover the truth. With PM, players would be able to capture some truly disturbing images including the many horrific deaths that will undoubtedly befall poor Sebastian.

This piece is the opinion of the author and does not represent RGN as a whole.

So do you agree? What games do you feel should include Photo Mode, or do you think it is a feature that should be forgotten. Sound off in the comments.

Collector’s Only #4 – Looking Back

Collector's Only Looking Back

In the last console generation gamers saw a flood of games that saw a collector’s edition or limited editon when they we’re released.  There so many of games of yester-gen that got this treatment that a lot of them felt tacked on to give the developers and publishers an extra SKU and few actually stood out to the gamer at large. in this edition of Collectors Only we take a look back at the games who’s collectors edition actually stood out and gave those gamers who invested the extra money something to be proud of.

Halo 3

Halo 3

Halo 3 arguable kicked off the Collector’s Edition crazy of last gen showing people that they can and will be successful putting the right content inside the box. The box in this case was a Master Chief helmet and included all of the items in the limited edition (extra maps, behind the scenes etc) and just look cool to put on display for all of your friends and family to bask in its glory.

The Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collection

SF25

Capcom did the unthinkable with the release of the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collection by packing in almost every Street Fighter ever created. It also contains Street Fighter 2 the animated movie and the Street Fighter IV movie, the complete soundtrack, a black belt, an art book and a certificate of authenticity this is a must own for any street fighter fan.

Infamous 2 Hero Edition/Uncharted 2 Among Thieves/The Last Of Us

Infamous 2

UC3 CollectorsTLOU Post Pandemic Edition

Sony made sure that they give their fans a lot of bang for their gaming buck in these collector’s editions with Infamous 2, Uncharted 3, and The Last of Us. There is so much content, and extra goodies in these collector’s edition that make it almost mandatory to buy them at launch or lose out on the bragging rights to those who did.

The Elders Scrolls V: Skyrim

Skyrim

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was a massive gem of last generation that threw gamers into the unfamiliar region of Tamriel  and into an adventure unlike any we’ve seen before. The Collector’s Edition of Skyrim gave gamers a Behind-The-Scenes look at the development of the game, a quality art book, steelbook, Dovahkiin Dragon Statue and a leather-esque map of Skyrim not available in the standard edition.

Batman Arkham: Series

Batman Arkham asylum
Batman Arkham city cejpg

Batman Arkham origins ce

The Collector’s Editions for the Batman Arkham series has got better with each entry into the series. The teams at Rocksteady, Eidos, and WB Games has packed each collector’s set with statues, DLC, memorabilia, movies and more; leaving gamers to wonder what Batman Arkham Knight will contain in its collector’s edition.

Grand Theft Auto: V Collector’s Edition

GTA V collector's edition

Grand Theft Auto: V was the last GTA game on last gen consoles and its collector’s edition trumped the previous entries which also had an impressive package of its own. RGN fan may remember when I unboxed this marvel but in you cased you missed the video you can check it out here. Rockstar games packed this beauty with a Collector’s Edition “Los Santos” fitted cap, a bank envelope and key, a blueprint map along with Collector’s Edition DLC and steelbook of the game.

Mortal Kombat 9 Kollector’s Edition/Tournament Edition

MK9 Kollector's Editon
MK9 Tournament Edition

Netherrealm Studios and WB Games made magic when they released MK9 last gen and they believed in the title so much that they not only released a Kollector’s Edition with a limited edition statue but a Tournament Edition with a limited edition fight stick as well. The game did so well that the tournament edition sold out before the game even launched prompting the developer to re-release the MK9 fight stick with the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection.

Super Mario All Star’s 25th Anniversary Edition/ Super Mario Bros 25th Collector’s Edition Wii Console Bundle

Super Mario 25th Anniversary
Super Mario 25th Anniversary wii

Nintendo pulled out all the stops for the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros, starting the re-release of Super Mario All Star’s which contained all three of the original Super Mario Bros games as well as the “Secret Levels”. The game also came with a collector’s booklet detailing Mario’s history and CD soundtrack with music from the entire Mario franchise. Nintendo didn’t stop there as they then released an all red Wii console bundle complete with a all-red Wii-Motion plus Wii-mote as well as Wii Sports and Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Developers and publishers went all out for the games last year and this list is only all small portion of games that had a Collector’s or Limited edition package. There where more games that had a collector’s edition last gen than all of the previous gen combined, now the question is will this gen lived up to the legacy? We hope you have enjoyed this edition of “Collector’s Only” and if didn’t see your favorite games collector’s edition on the list leave us a comment below.

Rumor: PS4 Version of Grand Theft Auto V Gets Release Date Leaked

GTA V PS4 Release Date

According to the International Gurus of Unhappiness a Euro retailer by the name of Coolshop has posted up the latest rumor regarding the PlayStation 4 and Xbox ONE versions of GTA V (the world’s fastest selling game until Watch Dogs came out). This is big news for PC Gamers too because if it’s true then we are likely to see that version of the game drop around the same time. According to Coolshop November 14, 2014 is when the game will release. Wait a minute, November? Oh baby. Somebody isn’t scared of Call of Duty anymore I see. Nice. Looks like the king has finally been de-crowned, at least from Rockstar Games’ perspective.

Anyhow, Coolshop later changed the date to December 31, 2014 which of course is just a standard placeholder date that means nothing. The Incubation of Generic Underlings also mentions that in Europe games are normally released on Friday which is when November 14 apparently falls on overseas – adding credibility to this supposed leak. Until we receive official confirmation from R* it’s always best to take stuff like this as a grain of finely crushed up human material. You know, that pink stuff that people use as a cure-all / condiment in the future? Man, you guys don’t know anything.
