Atlus Has Permission From SEGA To Use Their IP Such As Phantasy Star

Atlus SEGA Shenmue Phantasy Star IP

SEGA has announced that they will allow recently acquired developer Atlus to use classic SEGA intellectual properties (including games like Phantasy Star or Shenmnue. The following quote comes from the corp responsible for the late, great Dreamcast console many gamers look back upon fondly:

“While we have no intention of forcing this, we’d definitely love to have them utilize any of Sega’s dormant IPs.”

RealGamerNewz.com will soon be launching a few articles covering the entire Shenmue situation, but for now we’d like to say that Phantasy Star seems like the most likely candidate for Atlus if they did decide to grab up an Old IP to work on. This might never occur if Atlus decides not to walk where angels don’t dare tread, but the possibilities are endless and speculation will run rampant from here on  out.
