Deals: $349 Seasonal PlayStation 4 Price For Sale At Sam’s Club In USA

PS4

Americans rejoice. Recently Best Buy Canada fudged up and accidentally sold a few Xbox ONE consoles for forty five bucks. That was a mistake though, and got quickly repealed and even had many orders cancelled. But in this new Deal at Sam’s Club, there appears to be no error but instead a legit discount that gamers should hurry up and take advantage of before it runs out (unless they don’t need a PS4 in which case, resume what you were previously doing before clicking the post – but at least tell you friends).

Of course, you’ll need to already be a member of Sam’s Club, or have family / friends willing to help you out with their membership, in order to take advantage of this deal. Sam’s Club is basically a wholesale discount retailer capable of providing low prices on bulk items. Why get 1 box of Goldfish crackers when you could get 500, strap them to the top of your Honda and flood the streets with snacks? That’s basically their train of thought.

Check out the visual proof below and be sure to keep an eye out for more crazy summer deals if you’re on the hunt for a Sony PS4.

****Update: 5-7 Days Until $10 Credit Refund Arrives, Sony Clarifies

The Last Of Us Remastered PS4

****UPDATE: Sony’s Adam Boyles spoke on social media through verified Sony account confirming that in 5-7 days, those who had pre-ordered The Last Of Us: Remastered on PS4 for $59.99 will be receiving a $10 credit into their PSN Wallets now that the game’s full price has been reduced to $49.99 ahead of its July 29, 2014 release date next week.

The previous, unedited Rumor Post is below:

As many gamers may be aware, it is the standard policy of Steam, Xbox Live, PlayStation Store, and Nintendo eShop to NOT allow refunds on any digital purchases. Of course, this simply means that the parties involved are not obligated to issue any refunds. There are still a lot of times when gamers have been given exceptions to the rule in case of dire need or just to keep the peace.

To clarify, the customer service representatives of these digital marketplaces have the ability to sometimes grant refunds in special situations – but all user agreements state that there are no digital refunds guaranteed on these stores. Unfortunately, we may have reached a point when too many people are going to be asking for the same refund at the same time. This means a much larger solution much be reached.

According to a new rumor posted gamers who pre-ordered The Last of Us: Remastered on PS4 for $59.99 on the PlayStation Store are upset over the recent drop in price to $49.99 and are failing to obtain refunds nor have they been able to get their PSN Wallet credited with $10 vouchers to make up the difference. If this is truly a problem that is occurring, it’s definitely foul that Sony is essentially charging early adopters of the HD Remaster more than those who waited and waited until now to pre-order. The post in question is stating all of this as fact, but we are not going to be so quick to lynch Sony over this. It remains to be seen if this is an isolated incident or if indeed many people are being turned away.

It also remains to be seen exactly how many people will be effected by this. The post itself points out that pre-order legal wording on PlayStation Store specifically forbids the cancellation of any pre-order, and in plain English states that refunds will not be available for any pre-orders.

If this does indeed turn out to be true, we suggest that Sony act quickly in announcing a $10 credit to PSN Wallets for those effected by this and / or perhaps some type of free in-game DLC such as masks, equipment, or weapons which would otherwise be sold through micro-transactions – this way Sony doesn’t have to go through the insanity of sending $60 back to each pre-order and gamers who supported them immediately by pre-ordering The Last of Us: Remastered for the PlayStation 4 don’t get punished for having Sony’s back. That being said, we really don’t know if the $49.99 price is a permanent thing either since it was just dropped this weekend.

The Last of Us: Remastered is being developed by the same team behind the Uncharted series and TLOU on PS3, Naughty Dog, who are aiming for 1080P resolution with 60 frames per second or better and have reportedly already met their target. The Last of Us: Remastered will also feature the multiplayer gameplay seen on the original PS3 title and with new refresh rate offers an essentially new experience for those into the survival competitive multiplayer aspects of this third person shooter / survival horror franchise birthed out of a cinematic and real human emotion campaign which many chose as Game of the Year for 2013.

PSN Exclusive TLOU PS4 Pre Order

What do you think? Should Sony give users something in return for pre-ordering early at a higher price, even though their legal print and terms of conditions clearly state that they will not? Did you pre-order TLOU: Remastered and are you effected by this? Let us know in the comments below as we reach out to Sony for comment on this evolving story in progress.

The Last of Us: Remastered releases exclusively for Sony PlayStation 4 on July 29, 2014 (about a week and a day from the time of this posting) and includes all previously released DLC, the campaign, and the multiplayer all remastered in 1080P High Definition at 60 frames per second or higher.

Final Fantasy X HD and UMD PassPort Shown at Tokyo PlayStation Vita Event [News WrapUp]

During the Tokyo PlayStation Vita Event Sony Japan was pushing the Instant Game Collection with PlayStation Store and PlayStation Plus at the forefront of the presentation’s introduction. pic Not only games but also applications were shown such as Torne and Reader Store for the PlayStation Vita’s all-in-one-functionality to advance even further.

The Japanese PlayStation Vita’s 3G/Wifi pricing as well as popular and upcoming titles were also discussed.

The trailer for Phantasy Star Online 2 showed gameplay and stable online connections as well as promising plenty of cinematic depth to it. Such a game, online and massively multiplayer, with vast character creation surely would not have been possible in past handheld generations.

A bundle with the white PlayStation Vita and a copy of Phantasy Star Online 2 were shown as well as a live playthrough of an existing build.

Another title shown with cross play between the PlayStation Vita and the PlayStation Portable will be launching side by side for each. The game was shown being played live on the PlayStation Vita with gameplay being shown to seem somewhat reminiscent of Japan’s popular Monster Hunter franchise. An interview took place with industry heavyweight Keiji Inafune who is behind the project.

Soul Sacrifice was also shown with a Premium Edition PlayStation Vita bundle and this one’s red. Pics It is seen in the pictures below on the assembly line. A video of Valhalla Knights 3 was shown next, which also will release 2013.

Gundam Breaker allowing you to customize, create, and destroy huge gundam machines on the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3 in 2013 is next up. This could be just what people need after an Armored Core craving goes unsatisfied.

God Eater 2 was then brought to the presentation. God Eater 2 is the sequel to God Eater Burst which was on PlayStation Portable. God Eater 2, much like Soul Sacrifice, will be released for both PlayStation Vita and the PlayStation Portable and will have cross play connection capabilities between the two devices.

A developer playthrough of God Eater 2 was shown live on PlayStation Vita where the games clean interface and high fidelity graphics were on display.

The UMD Passport Program was announced for God Eater Burst, giving gamers the title from their PlayStation Portable collection onto their PlayStation Vita system.

Finally, the Final Fantasy X HD remaster Square Enix announced not too long ago was shown running on the PlayStation Vita.
