Xbox ONE Is Not Sold Out, Microsoft Continues False Advertising Despite Retail Complaints From Major Stores

Xbox ONE Sold Out Worldwide

Stores like Target, Gamestop, Best Buy, and Walmart have asked Microsoft to cease reveling in their false claims that the console has sold out online after Amazon’s recent 20 minute sellout of an entire batch of PlayStation 4 consoles. Many stores have the Xbox ONE in stock and this can be seen simply by walking into your nearest games store and looking on the shelves, or by hitting up ABC News 10’s report posted up below.

With so many companies claiming they never received shipments at all or that the shipments of Xbox ONE were extremely small compared to the PlayStation 4 shipments coming in from Sony; is this even supposed to impress us? Basically MS is doctoring the numbers, playing with the perception of how well they are doing, and flat out lying to gain support for their Xbox ONE rather than just making great games and selling as many consoles as they can.

BitCoin Super Mario Image

For those unaware BitCoin is a digital currency which goes up and down in value like any other currency or stock market commodity. This morning we’ve seen BitCoins used to buy a Tesla Electric Car and the currency was back up around $1,000 per BitCoin again (and $26 higher since) quelling doubts that the currency may be facing a sort of bubble issue.

Here’s a place where interested parties can check out the current situation with BitCoin: BitCoinity Markets. If you’re an owner of the new currency, here’s one of many places where you can buy some products: BitCoin Store. Keep track of the situation by following RealGamerNewz Tech Section and have yourselves a great Holiday BitCoiners!

Rumor: Xbox ONE Has Just as Many Pre-Orders As PlayStation 4

Xbox Pre-Event Shoot

According to recent statements from PR & Marketing representatives at Microsoft, Xbox ONE is around the same amount of pre-orders when comparing only the amount of PS4’s pre-ordered within the 13 counties Xbox ONE is launching in. During the PlayStation 3 era we’ve seen a similar strategy used for many years by forum jockeys to sway the ‘fanboy wars’ in the direction of the Xbox 360.

Today Microsoft has reminded gamers worldwide that although the media and public consensus may have shifted towards Sony, the Xbox brand is not going to place itself on unequal ground for statistic comparisons and will probably not bother comparing itself to PS4 including those numbers until their  new Xbox ONE product has actually launched in those products.

On the one hand this is a pretty logical and dry statement for MS to make (how would you compare points in a video game between somebody that’s not on your server and you, after all?). Of course there are some who have been reacting to this news a little differently, suggesting that Microsoft is just doing damage control with their PR speech.

The controversy doesn’t end there either. New data from Australia’s commercial sector shows the average consumer aiming for either a Nintendo Wii U, an Xbox ONE, or a Sony PlayStation 4 are significantly slanted towards the PlayStation 4. In many ways this argument of who has the higher pre-orders is a topic for shareholders and investors, not one for gamers. We encourage all gamers to play what they like regardless of how something is doing in the market. Take a look at a graph representing the data that’s being reported on below, as well as a source to more information behind it.

Ubisoft Stock Values Drop 25% After Splinter Cell: Blacklist Misses Target Sales + Watch Dogs is Delayed

Watch Dogs Ubisoft

After yesterday’s turn of events, namely the delay of Watch Dogs and The Crew it was perhaps surprising to learn that two of Ubisoft’s most promoted games currently in their recent release portfolio have failed to meet the company’s targeted sales figure. In a recent financial report given by Ubisoft to investors through public teleconference, they announced that a €400 million reduction in fiscal earnings should be expected which has sent their stock market values on the European trade tumbling down 25% as partners like Sony scramble to quell customers who are angered over pre-ordered bundles of the PlayStation 4 that include Watch Dogs are now unable to be fulfilled.

Data: It’s Official PC Gaming Has Overcome Console Gaming; Digital Sales Up 1,400%

PC Gaming Overcomes Console

In what is perhaps a surprising turn of events (or not, depending on your perspective) cold hard data recently released by SuperData Research Inc. and Digital River confirms that the growth in the game industry’s PC Gaming sector has actually caused what was once considered to be a niche audience to overtake that of the Console Gaming sector. Similar to the argument of art imitating life and vice verca, we’ve been seeing a lot more AAA publishers supporting the PC Gaming market who normally haven’t been so open to it in the past; which is likely either because of, or causing, this type of reaction from the gaming community. Of course PC Gaming is still a ways off from producing the same amount of cash as Console Gaming. Other information in the quantitative data report includes evidence of a lean towards digital which is stronger than ever seen before.

Contrary to the vocal minority who spoke out against the ban on re-sellable physical game media when Microsoft revealed their next-generation Xbox ONE console, this new data suggests gamers currently prefer digital content that is not re-sellable versus boxed physical games; at least statistically speaking. Digital sales on the whole have increased upwards of 1,400% when speaking to the United States market per capita.

Also contrary to some of the outspoken feedback from those who take to forums to express their gaming views, free-to-play products are doing better than ever and proving to be one of the most lucrative markets in the industry. The entire report can be accessed for free in exchange for providing a small amount of personal information to the research firm (including the typical name / email address as well as a company name and job title) at the Official Digital River Website for those who are interested in learning more about these market changes and the deep statistics behind them.

3DS Sold 1 Million Units in 3 Months While Wii U Sales Reach Ridiculously Slow Pace

Wii U Sales Reach a Ridiculously Slow Pace

Every company files what are known as Fiscal Reports. Every so often, Nintendo lets its shareholders and investors in general as well as the industry at large know what their revenues, units sold, and losses are looking like. This is a necessary part of most businesses as enormous as the video game development, publishing, and manufacturing giant known best for its creation of a golden age with the NES and SNES systems of ‘yester-year’ or its latest cultural phenomenon the Nintendo Wii.

According to Nintendo’s latest Fiscal Report, while the Nintendo 3DS has managed to move over 1 million units for the last 3 months, the Nintendo Wii U home console is failing to meet sales expectations set on it by the Japan-based company who has listed just 160,000 units sold in the same 3 month period.

Europe in particular has only seen 10,000 Nintendo Wii U sales in the past 3 months, which is troubling to say the least, with some stores in the region refusing to continue buying inventory from Nintendo. You can read the full financial report HERE which has been released by Nintendo detailing their entire breakdown of profits, revenues, and losses, as well as what’s going to happen within the company as a result to this failure to meet investors expectations and the company’s own projected goals.

This extreme lack of attention from a number of markets comes as a stark contrast to the Wii U’s strong sales start. Despite many misconceived reports, the system had begun with a momentum not seen before with last generation’s home console sales rates. This led some to believe that the Wii U could propel forward at a rapid rate. However, most criticisms from both the business and media side of things have come down on Nintendo’s lack of exclusive first-party titles, many of which have been teased but not released.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf is cited as the main system seller for the Nintendo 3DS which is still keeping good old Ninty happy for the time being, however it is unclear if Pikmin 3 and Mario & Luigi Dream Team Bros. will be able to get the high definition Wii U into people’s homes. Some of the more creative and enjoyable titles out right now for the Wii U include Game & Wario as well as Lego City: Undercover but most gamers are holding on to their money until they see something Zelda-related pop up for the console. It could be time for Nintendo to reveal a renewed push for the system in terms of letting the public know what it is capable of technologically and why we don’t just wish we had one but feel the need to get one immediately.

Activision Responds to Vivendi’s Attempt to Siphon Billions; Get Your Own Money

8 billion Activision goes indie

You may remember that we recently reported Activision was about to get burned pretty bad by their parent company Vivendi who announced they would be taking an unknown amount of billions from the massive publisher which also includes Blizzard Entertainment together grossing more money than perhaps any entertainment company in the world as of late thanks to the Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo franchises netting over $1 billion dollars profit in the fiscal year 2012. You can read that report from our author Garet Peronto who reported Vivendi’s debt as ‘overwhelming’ HERE.

Well apparently Activision isn’t taking this sitting down. They’ve stood up and slapped Vivendi with an $8.2 billion dollar stack right across the face, effectively buying out their share of the company. Activision / Blizzard will soon be an independently owned entertainment company. This comes alongside Activision’s earlier announcement that they will be releasing New IP’s next-generation for the low price of $19.99, leading many to believe that digital and indie-style games will be the most viable option on the next-gen consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox ONE launching from Sony and Microsoft respectively at the end of this year 2013. Is there still hope for AAA companies who don’t follow suit of the largest AAA publisher in the industry? Only time will tell.

PlayStation Vita Outsells Wii U

Just over 9,600 sales last week for the Nintendo Wii U puts it behind the PlayStation Vita. The home console is causing confusion in the consumer market where potential customers expect that this product offers the Wii experience at home and on the go.

When sales people are forced to deny this feature, as it isn’t the intended purpose of the Wii U, the appeal is lost and so is the sale. PlayStation has done a much better job of establishing what its brand does at home and on the go and how you can use the PlayStation Vita in conjunction with the PS3 and upcoming PS4 to play your favorite PlayStation franchises on the go, and more.

Whether this dip in sales is just a trend or will remain the situation is unclear at this time. There is currently plans being highly publicized and officially confirmed that Nintendo will soon release a Mini Wii. After this final attempt to spark interest in new hardware, Nintendo will have to be patient before making any more moves in the video game hardware manufacturing industry.

The Truth About BioWare and EA? (Rumor)

The following is a major rumor this article is from the site 4chan.

A person who claims to be an ex-employee of BioWare leaked quite a bit of information on 4Chan. The person says they worked for BioWare for over 8 years, and that they want to give everyone an insight on what BioWare has become.  They also posted some things about upcoming releases such as Terminator. If you would like to know what the person actually said on 4Chan, you can click here. I have also summed it up below as well.

ABOUT BIOWARE AND EA GAMES

“For about 5 years now, the company has been dominated by EA Game’s strict timetables and budget restraints,” the person wrote. “To the fans: please do not be discouraged by what little PR EA allows to get out. BioWare is still full of people who love video games, who want to put passion into their games–but they are being stifled. Do not be angry with BioWare. Be angry with those who are stifling them (EA Games). Your anger is not enough. Speak with your money. It is the only language EA understands.”

What he means is that everyone should cut back on buying games and such from EA. If enough people stop buying EA’s products, they will be forced to listen to what the fans want.

TERMINATOR INFORMATION

“Terminator is a post-ending DLC. It has been in production for months,” wrote the supposed ex-BioWare employee. “Javik was originally from Terminator, but they bumped him up because they felt Mass Effect 3′s cast was too small. Terminator is about the party crash landing on a Prothean planet on the edge of Sol, and then they have to figure a way to make contact with the rest of the system and get off the planet.”

“When they do get space born, they return to Earth, which is gripped in a war. Certain species are demanding they be allowed to take the most advance space ships out of the system because Sol can not support them,” the ex-employee continued. “There is also mass panic because the relay transport system has been destroyed, and Sol’s remaining resources are going to run out in less than a year.”

“Shepard has been found on Earth, but he is badly injured and in a coma. He was burned badly during atmospheric re-entry, and certain synthetic components of his brain were shut down. Chakwas is certain that if he ever awakens, it will be in a vegetative state. At this point, it is suggested that Shepard’s broken synthetic parts could be replaced with new ones.”

“The party then splits up, and you (the player) go to three different planets or areas to find synthetic components that may be able to help him. It is revealed that one of the valid components can be extracted from EDI. Joker allows them to do so. Though still badly wounded after the synthetic pieces are installed, Shepard finally awakens. He makes a speech at the Spacescraper (a piece of the Citadel that crash landed on Earth along with Shepard, now used as a center of operations) that ends the Sol War.”

“After that, you get a unique cut scene based on who you did  or did not romance in Mass Effect 3. This is not addressed in the Terminator DLC, but from the moment Shepard comes out of the coma, he is the Catalyst. Shepard permanently died during atmospheric re-entry. The characters and the player are not aware that it is not the real Shepard, and this will not be revealed until Mass Shift, the spiritual successor to the Mass Effect series.”

MASS SHIFT INFORMATION

“Mass Shift is not Mass Effect 4. Mass Shift will involve the same universe, characters, and story, but it will be more action-oriented,” wrote the ex-employee. “Space flight, for example, will be as intricate as Mass Effect 3′s combat. In Mass Shift, you will actively fly Murmur, a Reaper that is controlled by the Catalyst.”

BioWare has not come up with how this will work yet, but they were comparing flight to Gradius 3 and Kingdom Hearts 2.

“Xy was actually going to be a DLC character for Mass Effect 2, but he was axed in favor of Kasumi, who was modeled after the sister of a staff member who kept baking the entire staff cookies. They are introducing him in Mass Shift instead. BioWare has been meaning to introduce a main character suicide plot for some time now. Though the details for Mass Shift revolves around the Catalyst who seeks to prevent the galaxy from advancing synthetics.”

“This pits the Catalyst against the entire galaxy, which is forgetting about the threat synthetics pose. Throughout the game, the Catalyst will endure inner turmoil caused by his ‘other side’ (EDI), who carries the belief that synthetics and organics can peacefully co-exist. Mass shift will have more tactical combat, but with less cover (other minor things have changed such as Mass Shift’s primary antagonist does not wear a typical Volus suit, which means you will see most of his body) . Mass Shift takes place about one millennium after Mass Effect 3″
